Why do we need to build more classrooms at the Bob Simson Secondary School?
Until recently many children had to be sent away for secondary education. Now there is a suitable school locally for them to attend, large numbers are returning to their home area! The popularity of the school has meant there is great pressure on teaching space.
Initially the recently completed Rose Hutchinson Library will be used as a classroom, so that the large influx of students can be provided with education [see photo on the left].
Why are we fundraising ?
We are aiming to raise funds to build three new classrooms at the Bob Simson Secondary School. This cost is estimated at £18000 – reflecting the increasing costs of construction – but fortunately there is already land available for the building of the new classrooms [see photo on the right].
